Re: Panaque sp. (LDA068)
Hi,
I´ve moved this to resolved as Rio Meta is at the border of Colombia and Venezuela and not in Brasil as suggested.
Cheers, Sandor

And I have updated the "distribution" to have Rio Meta in it. I think this is correct, even if "Brazil" is wrong.

Anyone actually checked? Shane may well know. This data from Rudolph should not be trusted, this fish is not from anywhere NEAR Brazil.

Hi,
..I just made sure that there is no Rio Meta in Brazil.
Rechecking the eLog, I find the following statement in the "distribution" section (likely originating from Shane):
Originally, LDA 68 was reported from Villaviciencio in Colombia, which is not really close to Rio Meta (but south of it)..
Cheers, Sandor

That would suggest that Rio Meta is not within the distribution, but represents its border line.LDA 68 replaces Panaque maccus in the llanos drainages south of the Rio Meta.

Re: Panaque sp. (LDA068)
I did a search for LDA68 and Rio Meta, and I found several references , including posts from Shane saying that LDA68 comes from Rio Meta.
So I think it's correct. But good to ask, because it could well have been wrong.
