Re: Chaca chaca videos
He probably added links because embedding is disabled.
Anyway, nice fish! The way of hiding and swimming is really unique. Do you have any problems with ph? I once heard that chaca's can drop the ph of your tank dramatically.

Re: Chaca chaca videos
Thanks!
Nope I've never had any problems. I have a theory that it could be to do with how much you feed it - a lot of waste could lower the pH. Mine eats a small meal every 2-3 days (like a few earthworms) or a large one every week (lancefish). I would love to test that though. Others say they release a substance that lowers the pH to harm other fish, although I can't see the evolutionary advantage of this - they're good at catching live fish anyway!

Re: Chaca chaca videos
How do you mean? No, you can't post javascript [or whatever it is in a youtube "embed" ] in the forum to embed your video in posts here, but there is a nice youtube tag that does all the work for you - you just need to put the ID between the tags, and it's all done.Barbapappa wrote:He probably added links because embedding is disabled.
If you don't know, the youtube ID is the stuff in bold http://www.youtube.com?v=b123456789&nr=...
So to make youtube links with our the bb-tags, you would use
Code: Select all

We don't allow general scripting languages in these pages, because that leads to (amongst other things) potential security threats. In most forums that I'm aware of have these rules... The purpose of the "embed" youtube is for those who want to embed youtube content into a regular HTML web-page - e.g. a blog or regular homepage.
And I'm not having a go at anyone, but trying to explain how to do this correctly.

Re: Chaca chaca videos
Thank you, I tried to do that but I'd put the full address in, it didn't work - so I just left links. I was hoping somebody could help!

I thought it ment that in his youtube profile he disabled embedding, so he only posted the links on purpose.

Re: Chaca chaca videos
Ah, it does indeed seem like embedding is disabled on that account. Sorry for that. Does anyone want me to "put it back".
