I agree, it would be great to have a bunch of scientists posting on Planet Catfish, and sending in pictures without being asked. But you have to agree that they are willing to share when asked!

Is this the species in life? They have it as 'Hara elongata', which I assume they mean they think it is Conta conta as Hara elongata is currently a junior synonym of that species.

I meant is the fish in the link P. virgulata 'in life'? The website it is from (An Indian exporter) has it listed as 'Hara elongata', which is currently a junior synonym of Conta conta.Jools wrote:Steve,
