Uh... Doesn't the larva simply have part of its yolk sack left?
It looks yellowish, like egg yolk, to me.

@ Mike
I scrolled a bit further upwards, and saw earlier pics without yolk sac - therefore I think all yolk has been adsorbed before.
But I do agree, the yellow is precisely the yellow the yolksac was

Re: Breeding L-128, Blue Ghost
After 5 weeks the biggest of 4 that i caught was 28,4 mm, so I will guess many of the biggest fry are over 30 mm in total length after 6 weeks.
But i can't say this for sure.

Re: Breeding L-128, Blue Ghost
Wow, those fry look fantastic.
I like also how this proves that the blue color is heritable, and probably not a result of environmental conditions, which is another reason that color patterns might vary between fish (ie. golden Parancistrus).
Also, I'll have to take a closer look at this and compare to Havaard's L200 pictures, but for some reason that spot distribution looks different. I could just be imagining things.

Re: Breeding L-128, Blue Ghost
Just remember that my pictrures can vary in color, this is becaurse I shoot every pictures with auto whit balance, and i think the environment also has much to say how the pictures finally is going to be. Some pictures are taken in front some in the middle. This changes the whit balance as well.
As you can see there is a bit different at the pictures taken in a breeding box or in the tank. And it is impossible to catch the same fish twise. Becaurse i catch different fish every week i photograph.
All these images are taken in a breeding box.
As you can see there are a little variety in the color.
3 weeks image is probably the most reliable pictures.
3 Weeks old fry
4 Weeks old fry
5 Weeks old fry

Re: Breeding L-128, Blue Ghost
After 8 weeks the biggest fryes are 35mm.
After I put the fryes in the feeding tank i only lost 6 fryes as i know.
How big should the fry be before i can sell them?

Re: Breeding L-128, Blue Ghost
I think plecoholic was asking about the size of the parents. But to answer your question on selling them: I'd say they are saleable around 4-5 cm - so another couple of weeks or so.

Re: Breeding L-128, Blue Ghost
I would agree with Mats. I got my first set of them at around 5 cm. They're not as hardy though at that size, and as a buyer, I'd hesitate to get any that were <10 cm as I lost all of my first batch and since that time have always only looked at ones which were 10 cm or bigger.
