The Corydoras on the front of South American Catfishes, An I
Hi, I read this book but wondered what those Cories were? Anyone can help me? Sands didn't ID them.

I've wondered about these too...and I think the question has been raised before without any certain answer

Re: The Corydoras on the front of South American Catfishes,
Unfortunately I have no idea; I assume it must have been Sands himself. He did ID some other fish in pictures he had in the book, but for some reason didn't ID those Corys. A shame, cause they're quite remarkable.

Re: The Corydoras on the front of South American Catfishes,
I saw this fish again in the last week and thought to myself, you know, that's that same fish. Now all I have to do is remember where...

No idea who took the picture, but it looks like a C009.

Yeah, it was in Baensch, and they have it as C009 too.

Re: The Corydoras on the front of South American Catfishes,
Well, you lovely catfish-loving people.
One aspect that few readers realise is the design of the cover is not usually selected by the author unless it is self-published.
I shall have a look at my cover (which may be different as a first edition) and see which species it could be.
Thanks to Daragh for bringing this to my attention.
