Sold as L333. Is it L333 or L134 or something else?
Sold as L333 but not convinced and think it's L134 (which I already have one of, when I got this into my tank I felt sure I was adding another L134)
However, there seems a diverse difference in markings on the Planet Catfish website

Thoughts?

The photos are a little blurry, but what I'm seeing is consistent with a juvenile L333.

Hi there, oh my phone camera 'macro' setting is up the spout, annoying I know... he is about 2 inches long and of the same colouring as my L134, i.e. yellow body with dark brown markings, I thought L333 scribbles were closer together like L260 or L066 but looking at the widely various photographs on this website, it's very diverse, ranging from close together to quite wide apart.

Larry (apistomaster) has a few pictures of his juvenile L333 on this site (he has a topic in the US & Canada For Sale forum). I have purchased some from him and they look like what you've got.

I would be delighted if he's a L333 perhaps I could get a better pic and wait for Larry to come along, I'm new here, I don't know anyone yet
I have various L Number plecs and this is my first L333

99% sure that's a frog and not 333. Clearer pictures would allow confirmation but if you already have a frog, and this one looks like it, then it's probably a frog.

That was my worry, I am going to try and get pics, easier said than done the way they all hide hehedrpleco wrote:99% sure that's a frog and not 333. Clearer pictures would allow confirmation but if you already have a frog, and this one looks like it, then it's probably a frog.

Re: Sold as L333. Is it L333 or L134 or something else?
I agree, it's probably L134 - but to make entirely sure, I'd say a better photo is needed. Not sure if your camera can't focus because it's too close, too far away or it focuses on something else... It looks like it's focused "too close to the camera" by quickly scanning the photo. Maybe you should try with the setting for "normal", rather than "macro".

I've taken some video of him (least I think it's him, could be the L134 haha) dunno if I'm getting muddled up or not, but this fish seems whiter in the body than my frog

Still just sits there with a spinning wheel - unless I'm supposed to wait much longer than my patience holds...

I think the server is very slow, but eventually it did load, and that fish is certainly a L134. Whether it is the same as in the picture above or not is hard to say.
