If you've had it for a year & things've been ok up till now, and now something is definately changed in it's normal regime, we need to consider what could be wrong - given the timescale it is unlikely to be something which has always been with the fish - it is something recent. The water quality is always the first thing most people would say - what is the nitrate, nitrite & pH level? Have any new fish been added recently? Is there any single thing you can think of that has changed in the last week or so?

I would do a 30-40% water change straight away & increase aeration. After you let us know any additional info , (the answers to the above questions) we can go on from there.
Lou: Every young man's fantasy is to have a three-way.
Jacob: Yeah not with another fu**!ng guy!
Lou: It's still a three-way!
