L 199 & Ancistrus sp---breeding set up

L 199 & Ancistrus sp---breeding set up

evening All

first of all is that a good idea to put those 2 together.
Ancistrus sp.---1 m/3 f
Hypancistrus sp.L 199---1m/2f

tank is 2.5ft long,1.5ft wide,1ft tall

i have made them plenty caves.

advice needed :? :?:

What species of ancistrus are they? I would probably say not to mix them as the Hyp's will prefer a meatier diet & i'd allow a square foot of substrate per adult meaning you could have 4 adult fish (as a rough guide)

can i expect teritorial fights(specilay males?),if i will keep them together ?

they will be moved,but not earlier than in about 2 months.

they are common bristlenose(but albino/gold variant) :thumbsup:

I wouldn't expect too much direct aggression between different species...i have a pair of commons in a 24x12x15 & the male is approx 6" & chases the female away at every opportunity (they still breed regularly)
