Fire at MA @ Farnham.
Apparently, big fire has destroyed the whole building, where MA was only a small part.

I feel gutted - both for the loss of the shop itself and the staff, some whom I count as friends.

Re: Fire at MA @ Farnham.
I heard about this earlier this week. If MA has been completed destroyed then it will be a real shame, and not just because its my LFS.
I am tempted to pop along over the weekend and see it for myself. I was only in there a few weeks ago and they had a 11-12" L14 which I was so tempted to make them an offer for. I assume the big Scobi and none of the other fish made it out alive but I guess there is always a tiny bit of hope that the fire didn't kill everything...

Q) Why are dead fish harder to 'wind up' than live fish?
A) Because dead fish never take the bait! ;)

Re: Fire at MA @ Farnham.
Judging by the pictures the BBC showed the other day, I'd say there is very little hope that ANYTHING survived. The didn't mention the aquatics department, but they did show pictures of the overall building, and there was just a few bits of brick and steel left of the entire building...

Re: Fire at MA @ Farnham.
Very good news. I'll have to track down where my Ancistrus ended up then... ;)

I was just about to post this but you beat me to it

I drove past the store earlier but the road up to The Country Market has been closed by the Police.

Re: Fire at MA @ Farnham.
Strange, no mention of this in the Friday bulletin. The website says that all the livestock was saved though which is a very good thing must have been totally devastating for the staff and the owner of the site.
