Looking nice. You resealed it yourself? Looks like very good work.

Re: My Custom Driftwood 75g Glass Build
Thanks everybody! Yeah I did a complete tear-down and rebuild myself. Here's a quick run through, if you want anymore details just let me know.2wheelsx2 wrote:Looking nice. You resealed it yourself? Looks like very good work.
When I picked it up-
Cut all the out silicone out and scraped down the glass-
All taped up and ready to silicone-
After siliconing it back together-
I built a top brace out of 1x2's to keep the top from bowing-
I cut some sections off a driftwood stump I found and siliconed them in place-

That cutting and gluing of of the wood with silicone is very cool. I plan to do that myself with wood and rocks in my next big build.

Yup! Its GE Silicone 1. Its totally fish-safe and the strongest, cheapest, most available (by me anyway)...godfreyhales wrote:nice job,im assuming your silicon sealer is fish friendly, its just ive never seen it sold in packs of 4 before.

Yeah, he's licking his chops looking across the room at all that extra tank waiting for him...
