Re: Friday before CSG conference shop trips?
I'd say it's T.trachycorystes as well based on looks(*).
The T. taeniatus look good and well fed; I've seen them in a much worse state. Does the one in the back have a small wound on the head?
(* odd thing is that none of the 4 described Trachycorystes species are known from Colombia....)

Re: Friday before CSG conference shop trips?
Trachycorystes cratensis is from NE Brazil.
T. trachycorystes (which everything else is a synonym of) is wide ranging (Amazon, Orinoco, Guyanas). Presumably it occurs in the Colombian Amazon as well, so that would not be too surprising.

Is this recent information, HH?Silurus wrote:T. trachycorystes (which everything else is a synonym of)
CoF (still?) lists T. obscurus (with the remark "if valid") and T. porosus (as species inquirenda).

Re: Friday before CSG conference shop trips?
I follow Ferraris (2007) as the most recent work, since Carl is a recognized expert on auchenipterids. He regards T. obscurus as a synonym of T. trachycorystes and T. porosus as species inquirenda in Auchenipteridae. The latter means that it may or may not be a Trachycorystes, so until someone solves the problem, it's easier to disregard it.

Cory Gracilis have been sought by a few people in threads on PC & i'm sure there would be interest in this species.

Wow, that is some list! quadrifilis and Caelatoglanis, nice!
When are the Argentinian stuff coming in Neil?
I called into my local shop yesterday after work and got some Trachelyopterichthys taeniatus, but he also had a large oddball that came in with them, turns out to be an adult female T. anduzei!!!! (Confirmed by Carl Ferraris).

Hi Matts , nobody bought any 91,s yet ...
I think you guys might have to come on saturday to get first dibs on a couple of items..
I know that a particular variety will be in high demand .
As I said I cant say what is coming until they are in .
I would have done the late opening but last time it was a flop .
I think apart from one delivery all is going to arrive...
Never mind.

Re: Friday before CSG conference shop trips?
Part of the C.A.S. raiding party on Saturday.
Awesome selection of fish as usual. I was particularly impressed with the Spatuloricaria adults, which must have been 12"SL, not including tail and filaments, plus babies of the same species for under a fiver! Some lovely Sturisoma (aureum and festivum), loads of hypans (mainly t/b and non-Brazillian - but some lovely big L333), L091's looked good! On the cory's, the orcesi had to take the biscuit, although some beautiful napoensis took a close second. I left with a species I've always wanted - Brochis multiradiatus, 5 great looking fish, which have settled nicely. Looking forward to checking out what else comes in later this week!!
Cheers,
Mark.

Hi Guys,
I'm afraid i've cheated a bit and took a sneaky visit down to pier today.
Neil is really pulling the stops out for the convention, the range and quality of the fish he already has in is amazing and he also said he's still due some deliverys!
I left with a slightly lighter wallet than what i arrived with after getting a pair(thanks Neil) of sturisomatichthys leightoni, nannostomus mortenhaeleri, danio choprae and danio tinwini.
They've far too much to mention so i'll leave it all as a surprise for you on friday.

Hi No plan , just the timing as usual .I ordered some of these fishes in January
Most people who know their stuff will understand the difficulties in getting fish at this time of year.
Dont worry if you cant get there on Saturday there is loads of stuff to pick from sorry to throw the spanner in .
Is somebody going to give Ingo a ride over ?He likes to visit the shop
Hey Colin I will keep you in mind
What do you think?
And the gracilis ...

Corydoras sp "Long nose reynoldsi" from Colombia, was issued with the number CW012 There is an even rarer long nosed species CW011 that mimics C. tukano. Very small specimens occasionally show up in batches of C. habrosus.
