Wonderful pics! I see I'm not the only mushroom shutterbug, what amazing textures Those are beautiful.
Image stabilization... I'm currently watching the prices on the fuji 1500sd that has dual stabilization built in. Not quite as fancy as a regular slr but stable and good price for what it is. Any other fungi/lichen etc pics?
Where were these taken? Everything looks so familiar but since you're not here, did you travel or are these critters we share?

andywoolloo, the cow we call here in holland "schotse hooglander" which translates to Scottish highlander. the green woodpecker is really a stunning bird, but it is very, very shy. I see them regularly but they always fly away if you come within 60 yards of em. This time I was lucky, it was sitting in my garden for about half an hour!

L number banana, dual stabilization sounds nice! my new zoomlens also has two modes for IS, one for horizontal movements (such as racing cars) and one for movements in all directions. I surely have more fungi pics, will post more of them for you all of these pics are taken here in the beautiful countryside of the Netherlands, so I guess we indeed share these critters! isn't that lovely?

I'm especially proud of the pics of Alcedo atthis. this is such a small and quick bird! here in holland they are near to extinction I was hunting for a pic of this lovely bird for 7 months now. I even hid myself in the bushes near it's territory for two hours, with a camo net covering me and my camera, but the little bird is so smart. he wouldn't come near me. Now in winter, we see them more, because they have a hard time finding food, since most of the waters are covered in ice now.

Those are beautiful! Especially the Got Fizh? picture at the end Inquisitive kitty.
The first picture of the group of mushrooms is fabulous, the colours are wonderful.

I've tried to find some underwater species of mushroom/fungus but no luck. They could be added to a paludarium though I tried sprinkling some spores into my terrestrial orchids pots but no luck yet either.

There's quite a few photo contests online. The prizes aren't always big but it's fun and it's nice to share with other photographers. This one's open to Canadian residents only but your photos would stand up against any one of them. Mine's on page 5 of the 'first to last' tab, it's a coral fungus. This one's for a Nikon SLR. Glad I'm not one of the judges. Wish me luck!

Really nice shots. I gotta try to get more macro pictures of fish with my camera.

That fly picture is cool too. Flies are in fact handsome little animals if you view them with magnification.

I have some pics of my L260 and I'm wondering if it's a boy or girl.... I've checked the belly and the pattern just runs along for most part of the belly, he/she is quite fat too, maybe gravid?









I think it's probably a female but am far from sure....

yeah your pics are realy good i need help trying to take sum pics of my fish im new to photography just bought an e 620 with 18- 42mm and 40 -150mm lense just getting use to the camera gonna take me a while to get pics as good as urs.

Hey first off, absolutly fantastic pictures

Second I have 2 panaque maccus, and one definitly digs more than the other and frequently shows up with the same pinkish markings as yours on her belly...I dont know how long ago you posted that, but I haven't run into any problems, I figure its just like a little child when they get excited playing and end up with rug burn on their knee's...

Not all woodpeckers peck wood! Green Woodpeckers feed mainly on the ground ;) They're very common in the UK but most people have never seen one
