Re: Ideas Please
Well I thought I'd make a short video before taking them out. It was taken just after feeding time

And for those of you interested in Reef tanks I also did one of my Dad's tank:

As you can see mine is much better

Re: Ideas Please
Today I gave the Pictus to my LFS
I was having a look around in another LFS and saw all sorts of syno's but didn't buy any as I didn't know what was what! I ended up buying some other middle/top layer fish.
I want some 'cleaner' type fish for the bottom, what are Otto's like? would they go in my tank? or should I stick to Pit bull Pleco's.
My current stock is:
Congo Tetra x2
Harlequin Rasbora x4 (Tiny)
Blue Gourami x1 (Small type)
Apistogramma cacatuoides Double red x2
Thanks!

Re: Ideas Please
I think Pit bull plecos are a better mix than Otos considering your other fishes.
Synos for such a small tank is not easy - would perhaps work ok. Many synos get a bit bigger than what I'd recommend for your tank - you have space for fish that grow up to around 5" max, and a large number of synos reach well beyond that.
Oh, and congo tetras really do best in a larger group - 5-6 at least - and they grow to 2.5" or so, which means it takes up a fair amount of your available stocking space.

Re: Ideas Please
The Congo's were the first fish in there and were bought to kind of test the water, I may buy more or give them to someone in my family for their tank
Thanks for the info, I think I'll get the Pit Bull plecs then I also replaced/added more plants and I'm much happier with the look of the tank now

Re: Ideas Please
Sorry about all the questions but I just read the profile of the pit bull pleco and it said they are best kept in groups, how many?
Re: Ideas Please
If its Parotocinclus jumbo you are talking about, then 6 would be a minimum in my opinion.
