would one of each be fine or would it be better too get too of one kind?
are teh a nocternal fish or active in the day?

They are not particularly gregarious, neither are they overtly aggressive, so the choice is all yours. They are largely nocturnal, but can be coaxed out during the day sometimes.

*Ahem* Only philistines would make a filet out of the fish. ;)
They are best eaten deep fried as a whole fish, preferably served less than ten minutes after being scooped out of the tank.
Hurts your wallet somewhat, though. These are expensive (albeit very good-tasting) fish.

Pimelodus ornatus is an outstanding choice. That is what I would go for if forced to choose a reasonably predatory species.

;) thanks Sil, next time I get one I'll try that, no wonder my mudgoby soufle's are never a hit! That site does answer a question that's been festering in my mind since my last visit to Chinatown... "Where the $&*((# do they get these things?" I had been thrown off the track as I followed a truck with 50 gallon trash cans full of water and what appeared to be live fish... ;)

honestly, I don't eat fish much, the occasional ahi, but mostly I stick with aquatic inverts or land animals.
