Is this L306, or Panaque sp.?

Post by Gerard Pennards »

Dear All,
The pictures aren't the best, but it's extremely shy, so these are the only pictures I have.
These were sold to me as L306 a while ago, but now I've seen these pictures and I think it's more like a Panaque species.
i looked through the cataloge but I can't put a definite ID on it.
Could it be Panaque maccus? If not, has anyone a better suggestion?
Greetings,
Gerard

Hi,

that is one of the species from the Panaque sp. aff. maccus complex of species (aka LDA67). Definitely no L 306.

Cheers, Sandor

Thanks Sandor,
Very much appreciated! I came to Panaque maccus, but noticed it still was a bit different!
Species complex, so no definite ID poosible I guess?
I'll put it on my list as LDA067...
Greetings,
Gerard
