feeding problem
Hi everyone,
I have bought a L106, about 1 month ago.
At first he had a fight with a male Dolichopterus, but later everything seemed peacefull.
I never saw him eating fom the algae wafers but instead he knibbled a lot on the plants.
Now i saw him laying on his side,(picked on by other fish) and noticed he was really slim.
I seperated him, aded some wafers, but he's still not eating.
Is there anyone out there that knows what i am suposed to do??

Based on this: http://www.planetcatfish.com/catelog/sp ... ies_id=205
He's not much of a veggie eater. Have your tried bloodworms/earthworm sticks/mosquito larvae type foods? If you're only feeding him algae wafers, that might be part of the problem. I'll sure the more experienced members will chime in soon.

Re: feeding problem
Thanks for that reply.
I've given dry red mosquito larves and daphnia, but these float and don't sink so it gets eaten by other fishes.
Btw in total 11 lori's, 12 cory's, 20 others (gourami, scalare,...) currently all in a 1 meter tank, moving in 2 months to a 1,5 meter tank (others) and a l-tank (1 meter).

Re: feeding problem
Try frozen blood worms or market prawns. They sink and my meat eaters take to them no problem.

Re: feeding problem
Anyway, he is very weak by now, i could catch him with my hands. I just gave him some frozen fish (from a fish-stick), but he's still not eating. Gona by some shrimp tomorrow at a market and try that. Hope he will hold on.
Anyone any sugestions??

Re: feeding problem
Unless your tank temperature is already above 30'C, I'd say raise the temperature. Unfortunately, fish not eating can be quite a terminal problem.
