My (late) 90g West African tank

Hey folks,

Here are some photos of my 90g Cameroon tank. It was home to a nice school of Norman's Lampeyes, P. taeniatus "Moliwe", and 5 gorgeous Microsynodontis sp. cats. Although you'd never know there were cats in there. I guess there can be too much of a good thing, and in this case the good thing was hiding spots! I wish I could have taken some pictures of them but I never had the camera in hand during the few occasions when one or two would show him/herself.

The flora were Anubias barteri v. nana, Bolbitis heudeloti, and Crinum natans. The substrate was a mix of Flourite and multi-grained Paver Base sand in the back, transitioning to 100% sand in the front.

Sadly, I've had to take the tank down in preparation for a move. If any of you are in the Atlanta area and would like a group of 1 male and 4 female Microsynodontis spp. cats shoot me a PM.

That's awesome. I really want to do a West Africa biotope as my next project. I love those lampeyes.

I want to do one of these with the characteristic underwater plants, and emersed stuff too. Anubias and Bolbitis make excellent emersed specimens. I have some A. hasitfolia doing really well in a riparium planter.
