Hi guys. I've been feeding my cats frozen bloodworms lately, and am just wondering... how much is enough to feed:
2 x 2" long tandanus eel-tailed catfish
1 x 5" long arius graeffi catfish
The bloodworms come in compacted frozen cubes... about 1.5cm x 1.5cm x .8cm in size. One cube doesn't last long among the voracious cats, so how many cubes should I feed them a day. I have been giving them one cube early in the morning, and another cube before I go to bed at night.
The bloodworms come in 30 cubes a tray, so it works out to be a fortnight's food. I just want to know if they are getting enough because I can't help but feel as if I'm underfeeding them...
Thanks.

The best way to feed frozen bloodworms is to put several cubes in a small plastic container (I find that used fish food containers with screw top lids work best), add some water, let the bloodworms thaw out, and then use a dropper to introduce the bloodworms into the tank.
This way, you need not be burdened by having to introduce only whole cubes into the tank. I find that feeding the fishes enough until the bellies are nice and rounded once evey day is sufficient.

But what if I can't see their bellies properly? They are constantly moving and it's hard to catch a good look. Especially when they dart back into their logs after each mouthful.
