This is my first post and one I am super excited about! I have a group of wild caught l201's and even though I try and watch them like a hawk I apparently don't do a very good job! I found 15-20 1cm babies in the tank yesterday right up along the water line! I have caught those I could and got them into a fry tank, was this a good decision? I went down last night with the flashlight and found a few more I will try and catch. What would you suggest feeding? I am super exited! Please if you have any advice for healthy rearing send it my way!

I haven't bred these, but the general rules for fry care is:
1. If there are no predators, don't move the fry - if the water is good for the parents, it's most likely good for the fry. But I wouldn't move them back now - it's just going to stress the fry even further.
2. Feed fry with the same food as parents.

Not wishing to sound pedantic, but are not , and neither are they for that matter.
Now this may seem irrelevant as far as the hobbyist is concerned, but recently there are lots of people having breeding successes with various loricariids, Hypancistrus especially. Now this is great, and helped in no small amount by the work that has been put into this website.
But this success brings with it new problems, and something I am very worried about is the loss of species identity in the captive breeding efforts. Indiscriminate hybridisation between species will lead to essentially much of the diversity being lost to the hobby.
There is a risk that if the correct names are not used when fishes are sold from breeders, then people could end up breeding the wrong species together. It doesn't help that most of then are undescribed, with no formal way to distinguish them, but there's not much we can do about that!

I can understand your issues and agree. The only thing I can go with is what the supplier sells them to me as from south America! I will try and get some pics of the adults and post them so maybe I can get some info from people on the sight as to the true name or L number. It will be months before I sell them so I have some time to figure things out! With all the name changes I for one can't keep up!
