Ok, let's go:

1) My species name refers to a guy who was sentenced for tax fraud in 2005.
2) My pattern is a bit variable

torbanite from a few posts back...:
I didn't understand the dancer thing..?
From the species page: "Hemidoras: From the Greek hemi, meaning half, and doras, meaning skin".
Okay, it was a lame clue but I couldn't think of anything else that might qualify as half & skin

I see we have a new player! Cool!

Here's the updated fish list:

New fish:

1) Although I lack a species name, I do already have a common one
2) When my common name is pronounced, the latter part sounds like a word that means "fate"
3) One of my keepers is a sea predator
4) The other one likes me very much

Oh bummer, was going to guess , also called a Tana Squeaker even though the common name is not on PC. Syno squeaks African and I grew up in Germany!
No eh? I wasn't really named after it but I can always pretend.

Fish list updated and I'm off to moose country for several days - dodging not hunting - so keep the boat afloat.

New fish:

1) My genus name can be divided in two parts
- the first part is shared with an auchenipterid and a doradid (could well be more species btw)
- the second part is quite common in catfish
2) my species name has something to do with time
