Need To Know!!

i know this is a catfish site, but i cant seem to get a response from anywhere else, ive tried the tropical tank forum. so if anyone could please help me id really appreciate it!

-i have a 38US gallon tank (36"x12"x20") and have no fish in it yet. i want to stock it with bala shark, tinfoil barb, pimpictus, and tiger barb. most of the fish dont get over 8-9" in an aquarium (tinfoil/bala).. ihave a very good filter eheim 2213. even if the bala and tinfoil get too big couldnt i give them back to the LFS as a trade for a small one?? how many of each could i get????? NEED TO KNOW!

I am not sure about compatability, but I do know you need to talk to your lfs about a trade in. Make sure you talk to an owner or someone who you know will be around a couple of years down the line when it comes time to make good on the trade in. Many people would be in the same boat as you, and would not want a large fish. Another problem is that lfs's are not set up to have large fish. It is much more profitable to have a tank with many small fish than a few big ones.

yes thats true about the store profit.. the one near me that i get everything has a couple 135 show tanks they use... mayb they could put him in there??
