L101 Information?

Post by KCory »

Hi Folks,

Sorry to have a couple questions on my second post but here goes

Does anyone have any idea where I can get some info on L101, my LFS has one that they have labeled Rusty Red Pl*co and I want him, but can't find any info whether I could give him a suitable home or not.

Cheers

Hi!

As it is an Hypostomus species , the general requirement needed for other members of the genus can apply here as well!

Hi!

Kcory: You have to check which fish it is as Rusty red bruno is usually not L101 , but another fish . Rusty red Bruno is a species of the Hypostomus cochlidon group formely known as Cochliodon..., L101 is also a species of Hypostomus but as far as I know this species is outside the Hypostomus cochliodon group

Thanks everyone,

The common name Rusty Red was the only one advertised in the shop, the L101 was the one given after I couldn't find any info.
Thank you for the link it does look a little like him but the spots on this one are a little more golden.
I'll try to get an image of him and post it.

Again thanks for the responses, its really appreciated

Cheers

Hi!

Rusty red Bruno is commonly referred to the brown colored H.cochliodon group fishes. In L Numbers this would be L077/138 and maybe some other 13X number.
