L200 Agression

I have a L200 in my 125g tanganyikan tank. I'm getting some xenotilapia and I was wondering if anyone has had problems with L200's being aggressive. I never saw him chase anything in my tetra tank, but I never watched at night. He has a large rock pile that he sits in all the time and the xenos will be on the sand almost all the time. Thanks

hi there,
all i can say ...a L200 is a south american fish that needs wood soft water and also vegetables...this is all different than a african cichlid

Not to be argumentative, but this pleco has thrived in hard water without wood for the last few years. Even when there was wood in the tank he avoided it, preferring the rocks.

i think animals have it in their blood how to react ...depending of the temperature, the water , the surroundings...if a L200 would have it's habitat back (in a tank) you would i guess...really see how they behave...

they could also live in a stone/rock landscape (check the tank of havaard störe) but at least the water temp. should be high...28-30°C and soft water would be cool...

i also keep 7 of them they are sometimes very rough to eachother...specialy males. and if a cichlid will cross his territory i think they might attack for a while...
