ID my Pseudacanthicus: L25 or maybe L24?
I've got this Pseuda for two weeks. These photos were taken few days after I get it. Now he is in definitely better condition. 16-17cms long.
My question is: What do you think? is it L25 or L24?
I think it's L25 but I'm not sure

With the spots in the fins I would say L25, but I could be wrong too. At that size I would lean toward L25 though. What are you feeding him?

Prawns and mussels are his favourite. He also eats fishes, but they must be 'fresh'. He doesn't like frozen stines from my aquarium store. I give him tiger barb once for a few days, and after night there are only fishbonesdconnors wrote:What are you feeding him?
Currently he doesn't eat: JBL NovoPleco, Hikari sinking carnivore pellets, beefheart, bloodworms, spirulina flakes, Tetra diskus etc
He has sunken belly when I get him but now it looks much better. His recent owner didn't feed him... He eated only wood and leftovers but there were other bottom dwelling fishes.

Thanks Borbi
That's good news because my second Pseuda is also L24. I was searching for L24 but when I saw this one I got it without being sure of his L-number.
Can anyone confirm that he's 100% L24?

After looking at many pictures and my own L25, I would say that Borbi is probably dead on. I would also ask if this fish is similar to your other L24, since you also suspected L25. My L25 are alot more colorful, and you are feeding him good food, so I don't think his lack of color is a dietary issue.

As I wrote, I've got him for two weeks. It's very possible that his lack of color is a dietary issue because his recent owner didn't take care of him. I think two weeks is too short time to get well coloured, even when eating good.
My other L24 doesn't look very similar:

I think it's a L24 too...
about feeding : did you try the Hikari chips algae wafers ? my L25 are mad about this one. It's actually the only way to make them directly out of their cave. Even shrimps or mussels or fresh fish hasn't the same effect...

if you compare the eyes of L024 and L025, you must come to the conclusion that both fishes are L024
I love them, they look so nice!
