Beautiful fish! I don't have the best computer monitor at work, so I can't tell the true color of your fish...but if it's primarily orange I'd lean towards and if tan/gold I'd say . In any case, they're currently on the ban list from Brazil and VERY difficult to get. I'd go back to the fish store and buy all of these that they have. :)

Another fish that is coming in that is very similar to that pictured would be or L-15. More recently I have seen quite a few of these coming in. Most species of Peckoltia that have markings like the one pictured are very hard to tell apart. If there is any way to find the location of these fish, that might be the best way to determine what species it is.

While L15 looks similar, this fish is clearly a panaque and most likely 306, IMO.

Absolutely not a peckoltia - body is too high, and the slope of the head is different. Panaque shape matches perfectly.

Thanks everyone! I was kinda hoping these guys are 306's. Been waiting to have these guys eversince I got the pleco bug :)

Mats-Always on the dot. Didnt notice that. Its only because of the waste they produced the first two days in their tank without any food cept for driftwood. And these guys are so much fun to watch. Always nibbling on driftwood and squabbling like little kids fighting for candy hehe!

Jeremy-Nope defnitely not vitata cause they have some at the same LFS. They came with broklines, Royals, L240s, Contradens, L02s, A very small King tiger, A buch of 204s 2 zebras, Chamelions, red lizzards, 168s, leopard frogs. Whew! But these guys caught my eye immediately hehe!

Drpleco-Its not your monitor :) The pic was taken at night using a fone cam and I think this is one of the females or sub dominant male. The boss is very difficult to get to pose for the cam cause he's always holed up under his favorite driftwood. He's a beauty, Deep red face and tail orange body and black stripes and the larger one compared to the rest. At first I tought they were nice pekoltia's at the price they were sold at and got a possible breeding pair. Probable flash pekoltia, But at the back of my mind was hoping, no wishing 306 hehe! Then when I got home I noticed the bar patterns were different. So I checked out the 306 pix here and hurried back to get the rest of them :)

If you're in the US and ever get fry out of them, please let me know! (I'm guessing you're in Europe, though...we never seem to get the really cool stuff anymore...)
