Synopsis by Shane Linder
Ng Heok Hee and Tan Heok Hui have described a second member of the genus Nanobagrus. Nanobagrus look like small members of the genus Pseudomystus. Nanobagrus nebulosus is presently known from the Endau and Sedili drainages in southeastern Peninsular Malaysia in the state of Johore. The only other member of the genus, N. armatus, is found in Borneo. Nanobagrus nebulosus, at first glance, appears to be a juvenile Pseudomystus stenomus. Unfortunately, it does not appear that either species (of Nanobagrus) has been imported for the aquarium trade.
