Hi all,
I am in search of Hemisynodontis Membranceus (African Moustache Cats) in the US. I had these for 12 years and did evoke breeding behavior from them but never got past egg scattering. Any size, any location. Leads appreciated, PM please Thanks much!

Sorry i cannot directly help, as you are the wrong side of "the pond".
There has been a large batch for sale at a LFS near me for a while, which i strongly suspect have been commercially bred. If this is correct, someone in the trade should be able to find out & order for you(?) My reasons for suspecting commercial breeding are that 50% of the batch (20+ individuals) had some form of head/mouth deformity, which i cannot believe would be evident in w/c individuals, but rather would appear from poor line-breeding or artificial breeding methods. They have 3 left @ £8.99 & have grown to about 7"; 2 have deformity & the other is fine. There is an account of fellow syno-fan & PC regular "Chrysichthys" buying some in a post somewhere in the African forum.
