peeling skin cory!
hi, new here. i have 6 cory sterbai in a 20 long. i put a few guppies in with them the other day. next day guppies were fuzzed up! i treated the tank with api fungus cure and a little salt. most guppies did die. corys did get fuzzy also. now corys are not fuzzy, but looks like skin is peeling! i immed. did 50% water change and turned on back filter with new carbon. added stress zyme also.

Eek!
I'm not an expert here but keep changing that water and maybe some good advice from the regulars will pop up shortly
On another catfish site, I read about water treatment plants flushing with pyrethrin so you might want to give them a call to see if they've done anything different recently. If you think it may be the tap water, you can use store bought spring water instead. Also take a look at your meds to make sure it says safe for scaleless fish (sorry I don't know api-fungus).
I'll cross my fingers that you'll get some more useful help soon!

Racing, shoes and fish. Nothing else matters. Oh, and bacon.

Re: peeling skin cory!
thanks for the reply. lost 1 sterbai today. others are swimming and active. water tests ok. eating ok.
i wonder if it is my tap water or pipes. i have copper pipes in my house, probably 30 yrs old. but have had no problems til recently. have lived here and had fish for 11 yrs. never had this problem with corys before. have raised plenty of them over the last bunch of years.

yes i did. they were in other tanks for about 2 months, but as soon as i put them in this tank, next day they were sick. so were the sterbai. it may be the guppies, i have moved some to another tank and they are sick now. only this strain seems to get sick. my other strain is healthy as a horse! they are ok in what ever tank they are in.
