Thanks guys for the info.

They are L144 x gold/albino bristlenose.

They are a lot more goldy yellow than the pictures

It happen by mistake my hubby thought he had got all the gold/albinos b/n out of the tank when he put the L144s in. We had (at the time) 2 small L144s, one mature male L144 and a female gold/albino in the tank.

We have put them up against common b/n and there is a difference, colour wise and i have also noticed that the males are a lot smaller like the L144 when they start to get their bristles, i will have to get a picture of one of each together.

If they are recently imported L144, then that is most likely the ("fake L144"), and whilst there are theoretically many different albino forms of Ancistrus, they are most likely the same species. Since the albino gene and the amelanistic gene are different genes, you get normal coloured ones as the result.

If the L144 or "old" L144's (that is TRUE L144), then what you have are hybrids, since the true L144 is [to the best of our knowledge] a different.

Just want to point out that the ancistrus on the pictures are normal-colored, they are not albinos. It might conceivably be the more brightly colored cultivar that seems to be getting more common here in Europe, but it is normal for young Commons to be bright yellow & brown - that's what they look like.

And indeed the offspring of an albino and a normal colored Common would be expected to have normal color.
