Juvie Synos

Post by Brengun »

I picked up a quartet of juvenile synodontis at auction last night and there looks to be two of each kind but there was no info on the bag as to exactly what they were.
Can anyone have a wild guess for me? Bear in mind this is Australia so our Syno range is probably quite limited.

Hybrid 3 looks pretty fancy but I am leaning to pic one just being a eupterus featherfin as its more likely.
Hybrid 5 Valentine is a lovely name and initially I thought maybe pic 2 may be a decorus but the hybrid 5 looks closer to my juvie photo.

I guess we will just have to wait a little while and see what they turn into when they get a bit older.
Thanks for your help Dave.

I think it's two hybrid 3 and two . Adult euptera look completely different from juveniles, click on the link to see pics.

neither of these are S."Valentine" - the one is a hybrid for certain & the other may well be too, with the exception of Euptera as Chrysichthys points out - they may well both be hybrids if coming from the same direct source - as you say , the selection is limited
Lou: Every young man's fantasy is to have a three-way.
Jacob: Yeah not with another fu**!ng guy!
Lou: It's still a three-way!

It should become apparent about the euptera by the end of the year (if my I.D. is correct, that is).
