I currently have a Gold Nugget in my 400l tank and I am thinking of adding a Royal Plec to my collection.
Are these two compatible?
I also have 6 clown loaches and a bristlenose in there.
Any advice?

Yes, barring the fact that the Royal will outgrow a 400 liter tank eventually (but you have many years to think about that).
