HI! I want a easy breeded and cheap catfish, not an regular ancistrus, but something more exciting. I can't start with something expensive because I don't have any experience with breeding catfish.
Hope i get some good suggestions!!

Corydoras are supposed to be easy. I havent bred any cats yet, Im waiting on my Synodontis multipunctatus to grow up so I can.

It appears that some forms of Auchenipteridae are also quite easy to breed.

If you have some thoughts of what group of fish you want to keep, then let us know, and we can perhaps suggest a suitable candidate from that group.

Hi, The easiest for me so far is . Smallish cory, needs soft sand to sift through so the barbels will stay healthy and not much else :) The egg laying and fry raising are detailed in the thread on the top of this page: http://www.planetcatfish.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=6
Here's a thread with baby pictures: http://www.planetcatfish.com/forum/view ... =6&t=25918

Good luck but feel free to give us an idea of what sort of set-up, catfish style etc you might fancy. The range is HUGE! Every shape and size, ph's, temps etc etc.
Racing, shoes and fish. Nothing else matters. Oh, and bacon.

Easiest to breed L-numbers are probably Hypancistrus - they are not quite as easy as common Ancistrus.

Whiptails are inexpensive and relatively straightforward to breed.

Phyllonemus doesn't suck!

actually it's so far removed from anything that sucks, that it can be considered a subzero catfish.
it is that cool :D

I have figured out that i will start with the regular Ancistrus first, because it is easy breeded and i like it too. I really want too have Peckoltia and Hypancistrus, but its too risky too start with something that expensive. I had a L-129 and it died yesterday 13. May, and i don\t know why...
Thanks for answers!
