white spot in BN tank

Post by x_davo_x »

hi guys and gals just after some info i just bought a new male BN from my LFS and a few days later i realised he had white spot. the problem i have got is, he is in the same tank as all my fry and some that are newly hatched. i bought some treatment, will it hurt the fry and new 1's. the bottle says use half dose for babies.
will it hurt them, just thought i would get everyone's opinion on this

cheers dave

I would think that if the fry are out of the cave, then a half-doze should be fine (as long as the medication doesn't say "do not use for scale-less fish" or some such - all catfish are scaleless, so not suitable for such medications).

hey matsp thanx for the info mate, mostall the fry are free swimming, but a cluster of eggs has just hatched ,do u think they will be ok.
about the scaleless part the bottle says use half dose for tetras-baby fish-scaleless fish, so hopefuly they'll be ok
