I have found an interesting fish on the web (from Aqua Project Taiwan),
what do you think it might be?

Dear husky_jim and kingtiger: Thanks for your replies.
Well, my initial thought is the same as yours - L236. :D
However, the most tricky thing is :beardy: : The importers
of them (there are 3 specimens) mentioned that
they're NOT from Brasil! So, they're not from Rio Iriri...

P.S: I do not know if these specimens are for sales as the importers
are also renowned hobbyists. :wink:

Unfortunately or fortunately as the fish trade grows you cannot be certain on the actual origin of a fish....

e.g.I can get some L046 from Peru or via Singapore and goes on.....

Which is the supposed to be country of origin of them?

Just got the new information: It's called
" Peckoltia sp. Mega crown from Venezuela " ...
i am not really sure if it is a Peckoltia or a
Hypancistrus... :oops:
