Identification for Hypancistrus Sp.
Bought 2 supposed L129 Hypancistrus Debilittera http://www.planetcatfish.com/catelog/sp ... ies_id=211 this week, one of em defenitely looks like the fish pictured in the Cat-eLog
the other one though.......
the above fish is an L129 i,m quite sure of that, trying to identify the bottom one
This one is kind of blurred but it does clearly depict the markings on his/her back
Could it be that it is a L199 Hypancistrus Furunculus http://www.planetcatfish.com/catelog/sp ... ies_id=211 ?
Hope you guys can help out again ;)

Re: Identification for Hypancistrus Sp.
Still doubting if they both are L129
mainly due to some differences spotted in both fish (besides the colour pattern)
I,m fairly sure this is L129
don,t mind the Syno plz ;)
This guy however still doubting, mainly due to 2 reasons
1 the Iris of this one isn,t nearly as closed as the first one and it never is.
2 The 1st specimen has the typical Hypancistrus Tailfin, bottom longer then the top
This one though comes with a tailfin that has the same lenghts top and bottom
Also the Dorsal fin on the 2nd one shows a very straight pattern unlike any of the pics i see in the Cat E-log
Thanks for helping me with my confusion
