Odd behaviour of a Sturiosoma sp male?

Post by Bas Pels »

Today I saw this:

It is the best pic I could manage, without flashing the eggs.

These are eggs of my Sturiosoma sp, but two batches. the eggs on the left-bottom are 4 or 5 days old, the others fresh

I never saw the male breedig 2 batches of eggs at the same time, normally (I have a trio) the females take turns laying eggs

I would guess that in nature, like Ancistrus for example, the male will normally look after multiple clutches of eggs.

This is good, isn't it :D

For mine, the female doesn't seems to learn how to stick the eggs on the glass well. It has been a few batches already, and all the eggs just fell to the ground.
