First thing i'd do is up the temperature to 80-82F.

Are the fish new imports? Were they feeding in the store? How long had they been there? Did the store get them from a wholesaler or import direct? Were they hollow-bellied when you got them? I wouldn't worry about them not feeding for a week or so. The first priorities are getting them in top quality water & making sure there is no disease or parasites present (depending on where they came from)

Try canned peas, beans or baby mais(corn). A really rotten piece of wood (soft wood) for them to chew on would also help.

My guess is that you have bought bad fish. Healthy L204s will adjust easily to tank life and have a healthy appetite. However 6 days is not a long time. Don`t panic, and keep doing the right things

thank you for the replys. i think they must have be some thing wrong with them when i got them. the water temperature is 78. i have just lost the second one for no reason. i am going to ring the store today to see if they had any problems. i am also going to try egg white.
