Hi!!

if you had check the cat elog page on the fish , you would have seen that the sexing is unknown...plus 6-8cm fish are juvenils therefore too young to be sex if a way for so was known...

Cheers

I heard that the male raphael catfish has black belly and the female has white belly. Does this make any sense?

I wouldn't trust this as a key to differentiating the sexes :(

This makes sense to such extent that some people (among whom Sidguppy and myself) thought it was a sexual difference, but it has never been proven to be correct (nor to be wrong afaik). This was a long time ago btw. I thought I had a pair based on the top view shape (as in Corys), in which the male specimen had a jet black belly.

Finally I got my Raphael Catfishes. Both have white bellies so I paid more attention on their body shape. Hopefully I got a pair.
