It's a type of fish. If it's the real deal or a hybrid I daren't tell anymore....

I agree with Marc although, as the patterning is highly unusual, hybrid does seem more likely.

One thing for cerain though - this individual needs to be fed better, the body is extremely skinny & wasted away. The belly is very hollow - are the other fish out-competing it for food?
Lou: Every young man's fantasy is to have a three-way.
Jacob: Yeah not with another fu**!ng guy!
Lou: It's still a three-way!

Oeps, old habits die hard. I wrote eupterus.....
Anyway, I agree with Richard on the state of the fish. Very skinny; could do with some food.
I was thinking that it could also be the "galinae" variety; have a look at the stamp (picture 19) shown under

I got the fish yesterday, from a store, were it was an exhibit.
Today it eats normally and other fish aren't competing it for food.
The fish is 25 cm long.

Thank you for your replay

Even for the Synodontis galinae the spots are small...here is a small pdf on this galinae http://www.catfishstudygroup.org/pdf/sy ... alinae.pdf
I would say hybrid but after a few meals should be a good looking fish for a display tank
