sick and dying bristlenoses??

Post by katherine dillon »

hi there, i didnt know where to post this so i sent it to u . i have a friend who lost his massive male bn today as it developed a white film on its body in a few different patches.. now it was ok till this happened and then got sick and motionless last night and was dead this morning. he was 4.5 inches long.. now the females that are 3 inches long are going the same way.. and he doubts it will be alive in the morning , all his parameters are fine and so is the KH and GH . any ideas? also there is nothing in the tank with it that would do this , as in a predator fish ..

Two potential diseases come to mind that you might want to check into: Costia and Chilodonella
