i would say it is a common pleco if it was cheep and there where alot more in the shop you brought it from

Difficult to say from that angle. A shot of the dorsal fin in raised position would help - the number of rays in the dorsal fin will indicate if it's a [clog}Pterygoplichthys[/clog] or something else.
I see nothing that indicates that it ISN'T some sort of Pterygoplichtys, but it is easy to confirm the genus by looking at teh dorsal fin, so let's do that before we get too involved as to which species.
