I went down to a local grocery store and found some pure ammonia in the household cleaning department. Make sure it's 100% pure or clear ammonia with no perfumes or surfactants. If you shake the bottle and it foams up, then it has surfactants.
My wife likes cats.
I like catfish.

I used Clear Sea Mist ammonia. It worked well. I was able to cycle my 55gal tank in under 2 weeks. Here are a couple links I found helpful:

Kostas,

If you already have established fish tanks, fishless cycling is a waste of time. Just move some material which has bacteria into the new tank from the old tank, like gravel, putting old media into the filter, etc.

Hi,
I have other tanks but they are running only 2 months apart from my cichlid tank which is well established but has calciferous gravel(and a large amount of peat to neutralise the ph) and from my 60 liter tank which, although it is well established, one of its fishes(gourami)is deseased and i dont know what he has
