First pl*co
Hi guys, i just got my very first pl*co to add to my collection, its a common pl*co and i know very little about this cool little critter, any care tips, things i should know?? just a little help and a couple of warnings is all i need ^_^ thanks in advance

There are two kinds of common plecos: <i>Hypostomus</i> and <i>Liposarcus</i>. Here's a CoTM article on <i>Hypostomus</i>. Care for <i>Liposarcus</i> is pretty much the same.

They enjoy zucchini too. My common will devour half of a zucchini in a night! Boil it for about a minute, cut in two, rubberband it to a rock or sink it somehow and it will eat it. If yours is little, it may take him a little while to figure it out. Mine is huge and has been raised on zucchini treats every now and then.
