It's a boy!
All~
My wife Clare gave birth to our first son, Jacob Lewis Dignall at 16:39 today. Mum and baby are doing well. We were out shopping and he just decided it was time to make an appearance. I blame the speed bumps.
Jacob was 3 weeks early (yet over 7lbs) so we were just prepared and no more. I'm just home from the hospital with a steak pie supper and am going straight to bed, 'cos I am knackered!

Congratulations. I know the feeling of "knackered" - even if we men have the easier task, it's not exactly relaxing. Give my regards to Clare.

Re: It's a boy!
Jools,
Africa welcomed Jacob to the fold today. We were out in the pool this afternoon in the hottest sun yet of this summer when it started pouring rain out of the blue. Sunny, bright and clear as you can imagine and a beautiful, cool tropical rain pounding down on us. I know how much you love those days and all I could think about was you, Justin, and I hanging on that piece of driftwood in the main Amazon channel as the heavens opened on us. Sofia and I ran around in the downpour jumping in and out of the pool (Mom took shelter muttering something about lightening) laughing like crazy.
These are the most beautiful and rarest of days, and I am sure this one was for Jacob.
-Shane
Aye, 11/1 is better.
