Finally eggs from my L183!

Post by Lihn »

Hello everybody

Several of you have guaranteed read one or two threads from me about my L183. I've been anxious to breed them with time and now they have finally shown they can lay eggs. Since the male obviously is inexperienced, he pushed the eggs outside the cave this morning and I took the eggs into a floatingbox. Now I just hope the eggs will be hatched. There are about 65 eggs. In the floatingbox I came a airstone.

Now I breed the following species: 12 Peckoltia compta - L134 and 10 Ancistrus L107/L184
I have earlier bred these plecos: L010a, Ancistrus sp., L183, L260, Hypancistrus contradens

Now the eggs hatched. Of the 65 eggs, hatched only 30-35 with success. The eggs looked good, but when the eggs should hatch, a lot died. But I still think that 30-35 youngs is great, now when it is the first time they lay eggs.
