A LFS near me just got in a whole tankful of these at .75-1.0" long, labeled as Bumblebee cats. At $2.99 I am tempted to pick up a dozen and grow them out some.
Sincerely,

Hi Paul,
at that price I would rather assume they are dwarf bumbleee catfish (Microglanis iheringi). They are pretty cool too, but won't reach the size you might be looking for.

cheers,

Re: Confirm I.D. : Pseudopimelodus bufonius
Thank you but I am quite familiar with the differences.
The point being that these fish are mis-labeled under Microglanis which are sold as "Bumblebee Cats" but are in fact juvenile Pseudopimelodus (they appear to be at least two species... ...from what I can tell thus far none of which are Microglanis)
