Not a S. Decorus

Post by Alan »

Hi, can anyone have an educated guess at what this fish could be:

Image

My guess is S. Decorus x S. Notatus, but that could be wildly out. It was advertised as a , which even I can see it isn't (looks wrong (!), wrong colour, spots on tail instead of stripes, some spots on the body are oval not round, looks like a hump just in front of the dorsal fin). It measures about 4"/10cm SL.

I agree that it's a hybrid - although not the "decorus" hybrid . Could it be that one of the parents is a multipunctatus?

White barbles... I think it's close enough to S. h. sp(5).
