Has any one breed elagans?????
I've been trying to breed these with no luck. I have two of them that looks like they are about to explode with eggs. I have no problem breeding a good amount of cories but with these I'm stuck. I read some place that males and or females change there colors when it time to spawn. Is this true because if it is mine are all the same. Thanks MIKE

Hi,
I can't say about c. elegans but I have bred c. napoensis with succes. The species do have a lot in common so maybe I can help.
I keep my c. napoensis (3) in a 30liter tank with rainwater. Ph is about 6,5-7 with the help of a sack of peat witch hangs in the tank. KH is 3. Temperature you have to play with as with water changes. Cool water changes and leave the heather off then put it back on later. I also leave the heather off when it's warm outside so it's more natural, that really seems to help. But the most important change I made witch triggered spawning was the rainwater.
Also the fry are very sensitive to water quality.
Succes!!
