What are the chances

Post by Jools »

You may have noticed that the three catfishes at the top right of every page change randomly every 5 minutes. From time to time they all change to the same (see attachment). I wonder how likely that is to happen (there are 14) and if we can collect them all in this post.

Top left.
Assuming they are random then the odds are 2744:1
Or once every 9.5 days.

I thought i was on the site quite a bit, but have never seen all 3 the same :(

3 granny's is cool though

I've seen plenty of 'doubles' but am seeking the elusive triple! If granny's have gone, maybe i'll spot the decorus?

In windows, you press Ctrl-PrintScrn (that's the key next to F12 on a standard keyboard).

Then you need mspaint or some other picture editing software to cut down the image to a smaller one.

Nice one! Shame you didn't post a screen shot as I don't think I've ever seen this one myself. So, I guess this one is still up for grabs.

You can just press PrintScreen/PrntScrn on its own. Doing this grabs the whole screen and puts it on the clipboard. Alt+PrntScrn grabs the current active window. I'm pretty certain Ctrl+PrntScrn doesn't do anything.

So, you press the key, go into your image processing application (MS paint, photoshop etc) and just paste. Voila. All you need to do now is crop the image down so it resembles something similar to the posts above and you can save it and attach it to a post here.

That is the trick: PrtScr puts the screen on the clipboard.

Not expecting this, I was not able to make a screenshot (I tried for when a triplet shows up)
