C. cf schwartzii - all females?
C. cf schwartzii - all females?
My best guess is that I managed to get nine females! I've had these for almost two years and no hint of spawning activity.
What do you think? Are any of these males?

Thanks!
Mike

Re: C. cf schwartzii - all females?
There have been quite a number of ID developments since the original identification was made in 2005. One thing that is certain is that your fish are not C. schwartzi, which is a species that has a black dorsal spine. The species with a white dorsal spine has now been given the ID number CW028.
Cincy,
To answer your original question, I would say from the image all 8 of your group are female.

Just because you see a name on a list from an exporter, it doesn't mean that's the fish you're getting.unotim123 wrote:But I imported them as corydoras schwartzi from czech republic.
It's very common that you get something else than you ordered.
I have seen C. napoensis come in as Corydoras nanus, C129 coming in as Corydoras sanchesi, Corys called Corydoras punctatus always show up to be agassizii or ambiacus or similar. Numerous additional examples could be mentioned.
